Autel Nano vs DJI Mavic Pro Review

There are several great drone makers on the market today, but DJI, which once dominated the market, is starting to have new competitors. I've always believed that the best drone is next, and DJI has always been on the cutting edge when it comes to cameras that capture the sky. One of their more advanced products in consumer products for a long time is the Mavic Pro, a folding quadcopter that is very easy to fly and produces some great aerial shots.

Early on, we spent some time on DJI doing actual flight training with the Mavic Pro, and we've been flying ever since. We unapologetically fell in love with the joys of flying drones, but it wasn't perfect. The DJI Mavic Pro is still fun and reliable, but it's outdated. Let's explore more in the comments.

The DJI Mavic Pro has inspired many similar drones and remains one of the better compact folding drones on the market. As one of the first consumer drones to feature a fully stabilized 3-axis gimbal and a reliable 4K camera, the Mavic Pro is undoubtedly one of the best drones on the market. But at the same time, it has also ushered in a new competitor. Autel Nano Drone Series. And, to be fair, DJI calls the Mavic 2 series an iterative update to the Mavic Pro, and what a big update they are. Autel Nano also brings us a new experience.

EVO Nano+ Mini Drone

The Autel Robotics EVO Nano+ mini drone features a compact foldable body, weighs only 249 grams, and features a 1/1.28-inch (0.8-inch) CMOS sensor that captures 50MP photos and 30fps Ultra HD 4K HDR video. The RYYB color filter array design with a large f/1.9 aperture provides excellent noise reduction and the ability to easily produce high-quality images in low light conditions. Withstands up to 28 minutes of flight time for the EVO Nano mini-drone and a range of 6.2 miles (10 km).

Extract rich detail from shadows and highlights with HDR mode, which quickly captures multiple shots at different exposures to stitch them together in post-production, no matter how extreme the lighting conditions. Track fast-moving subjects with incredible precision with the PDAF + CDAF dual autofocus system.

The EVO Nano is equipped with a 48MP camera that can record ultra-clear 4K/30fps video. Equipped with a three-axis mechanical head to prevent vibration, the Nano gives you everything you need to keep your picture smooth and stable in any harsh conditions.

Autel Drones EVO Nano packs powerful aerial photography capabilities into a compact, foldable, palm-sized frame. Even at just 249 grams, the EVO Nano's 1/2-inch CMOS sensor 48MP camera paired with an ultra-stable 3-axis mechanical gimbal is capable of recording smooth cinematic 4K/30fps HDR video in challenging conditions. The frame has been engineered so that the mini drone has a flight time of up to 28 minutes and a transmission range of 6.2 miles (10 km), allowing you to fly further and see better.

The Mavic Pro drone has a 3-axis gimbal and a 12MP, 4K camera on the front. The optional plastic dome keeps it dry and safe, but if you find it distorts your image, go ahead and remove it. Above the camera is a pair of sensors that help prevent damage to the drone, providing obstacle recognition and avoidance.
