In recent years, more and more drones have entered the public eye.

The extraordinary thing about these unmanned aerial vehicles is their prowess in flight. Drones have super stable flight ability, they can hover in the air and perform different acrobatics. How far you can fly your drone depends on the space you're flying in and your line of sight.

Both DJI and Autel are upping the ante with their new portable drones. The DJI Mavic Air is ultra-portable, and the Autel EVO looks very powerful. How do they stack up against the original folding drone Mavic Pro? Let's take a closer look.

Here's how the three drones compare on some of the more important features.

Specs Roundup: Drone's Flight Time, Range, and Cameras

The DJI Mavic Air is smaller and lighter than the Autel EVO. While the EVO is certainly easy to carry around, the Mavic Air takes this to another level. The EVO has the Mavic Air advantages in flight time, top speed and range. Even when it comes down to specs, the cameras are beautiful, so until we get a chance to test them, we'll call it a draw. The Mavic Air will transmit FPV using dual-band WiFi. Again, the EVO will use 2.4 GHz and 900 MHz to communicate with the transmitter.

Check out the awesome compact Autel EVO.

Special Function

There are a few things that differentiate these drones from each other. The Autel EVO will be equipped with a remote control with a built-in LCD screen for viewing live video (ultra small screen). If you don't mind a small screen or a dead phone battery, you don't have to worry about connecting your smartphone. Autel is also considering different camera options for the EVO, including a 360-degree camera and a camera with a 1-inch sensor.

Awesome compact drone powerplant. It's designed to be easy to fly and is a good start for just about anyone. You can fly it over a mile using gesture controls, your smartphone, or with the optional remote. Most professional pilots end up owning at least one Autel EVO drone.

Autel vs DJI -- Which is The Best?

Both of these drones are excellent options, and you have to prioritize the features you think are most important. The Mavic Air might not quite match some of the EVO's specs, but it's certainly not too far off. Combined with its smaller size and lower price tag, we think it's hard to justify the extra $200. Without a doubt, I have confidence in Autel EVO to make the right decision.
