Autel Drone Camera Lenses Revealed

The field of drones has been well known by more people, and Autel Robotics is definitely a dark horse in the industry. The drone machine can fly to the sky hundreds of feet high, which can replace our naked eyes to discover more novel and interesting things. Not our first choice for flying in the living room. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the parameters of various drone camera lenses.

Autel Robotics fully considers the user experience, continuous improvement of the user interface and optimized user experience, currently Autelpilot.com sells three styles of drones. Including EVO Nano, EVO Lite, EVO II Pro series.

The Autel Sky app works with the EVO Nano and EVO Lite to easily configure the aircraft's flight control settings, allowing everyone to get professional-quality photos at the touch of a button, with four automatic shooting modes (flick, rocket, Fade and Orbit).

Autel EVO Nano+ Camera Lens

1/1.28″CMOS

The EVO Nano+ contains a 1/1.28-inch (0.8-inch) CMOS sensor capable of capturing 50 MP photos. The RYYB color filter array design with a large f/1.9 aperture provides excellent noise reduction and the ability to easily produce high-quality images in low light conditions. Track fast-moving subjects with incredible precision with the PDAF + CDAF autofocus system; extract rich detail from shadows and highlights with HDR mode, which quickly captures multiple shots of varying exposures no matter how extreme the lighting conditions are photos to stitch them together in post-production.

Equipped with 48MP Camera

Can record ultra-clear 4K/30fps video. Paired with a three-axis mechanical head to prevent vibration, the Nano provides everything you need to keep your footage smooth and stable in any harsh conditions.

Autel EVO II Pro 6k Camera

1-inch CMOS Sensor and f/2.8-f/11 Adjustable Aperture

The Autel Robotics EVO II Pro 6K drone camera features a 1-inch sensor that captures extremely smooth 6K Ultra HD video and 20MP photos. There's also an adjustable aperture from f/2.8 to f/11, allowing you to make extensive adjustments to the amount of light entering the camera.

In terms of resolution, the static resolution of the 6K camera can reach up to 5472 x 3648, and the video resolution can reach 6K/30fps and 4K/60fps. Bit rates are also up to 120 Mbps.

6K Hyperlapse and More Shooting Modes

The EVO II Pro camera drone supports a variety of shooting modes, including single shot; continuous shooting; automatic exposure bracketing (AEB); time-lapse photography (JPEG/RAW format); high dynamic range (HDR) imaging;

Capture The Night World

The EVO II Pro camera features an Ultra Light mode for shooting in low light, as well as 2D and 3D noise reduction to smooth motion blur and reduce noise.

10-bit A-Log Color Recording

This mode offers professional photographers greater flexibility in post-production 10-bit allows the EVO II Pro to record up to 1 billion colors. EVO II Pro preserves rich detail in shadows and highlights, providing greater flexibility in post-production.

It is worth mentioning that all three camera modules on the Autel Evo II support:

  • Single Shot
  • Bert Shot
  • Auto Exposure Bracketing (AEB)
  • Time-lapse photography
  • High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging
  • NIGHTBEAT (high signal-to-noise ratio)
  • Photos can be saved in DNG or JPG format, and video clips can be recorded in MOV or MP4 format on the Autel Evo II.
  • Movies made with the EVO II look very natural, not oversaturated, have good dynamic range, stable pixel density, and are overall pleasing to the eye.

Cameras are replaceable - a feature found in premium drones. They made a removable payload, so if you buy a frame, you can buy any camera you want to add to it later. If you started with the Evo II and wanted to upgrade to the Evo Pro's 1" sensor, you buy the camera and put it on your 8k model, and you basically have the Evo II 6k model now.

Autel Robotics EVO Lite Camera

The Evo Lite standard model features a 1/1.28-inch camera sensor capable of capturing up to 50MP images and 4K video. Pixel binning produces a 12.5MP image that should be sharper than a straight 50MP photo. Autel Robotics even includes some lossless zoom, enjoying up to 2x lossless zoom on 4K video and 4x lossless zoom on 1080p video, for a total zoom of up to 16x. Lossless zoom is achieved by utilizing all available pixels on the camera sensor. It's not an optical zoom. An additional zoom level is digital zoom.

The Evo Lite Plus features a 1-inch camera sensor that captures 20MP stills and 1080p video at up to 6K at 30fps, 4K at 60fps, or 120fps. The larger camera offers up to 1.3x lossless zoom at 4K, 3x lossless zoom at 4K, and up to 16x digital zoom overall.

As camera drones, images and video captured from the sky are critical to some pilots. We're pleased with the Evo Lite Plus' results, especially the low-light performance of the Moonlight setting, which produces pleasantly low-noise photos of dark scenes.

The Evo Lite shoots up to 4K at 60fps and 1080p at 120fps. The Evo Lite+ shoots 6K at 30fps, 4K at 60fps, and 1080p at 120fps.
